DT500 - Clear Sensor Troubleshooting

If you encounter a  clear sensor abnormal error when starting the machine, please follow the steps below

Step 1: Check if the stacker sensors are in good condition and clear of dust. Please use a brush or dry cloth to clean the sensors as you may get residues of ink while counting old/worn bills

Step 2: Check if the Stacker Sensors are in the correct position.

Note: The stacker sensors are in the correct position if they are visible:

The stacker sensors won’t function properly if they are pushed inside the plastic mold:

Please send us a picture of the stacker sensors if they are not in the right position or you are unsure.

Step 3: Access the Sensor Static Data and run a self-check

Once you complete the self check, please ensure you press the"↓" button to select CLEAR, cover the clear sensor with a white paper (as indicated in the image below) and then press "OK" button to run a self-learning check

2.1. If you get a notification to remove shielding, remove the white paper covering the clear sensor and press OK. The system will help auto-adjust the start sensor sensitivity level

Important: Once you complete the above step, Press REPORT to exit the Sensor Static Learning mode and go back to Sensor Static Data. Press START to exit.

Alternatively, you can adjust the Clear Sensor Sensitivity level through the main menu (only if you are experiencing issues with the auto-adjustment tool)
Step 1: Access the SET MENU by pressing the OK button until you are prompted to input a password “↓↓↓↓”
Step 2: Select User Menu to access the settings and scroll down using the down arrow, select Clear Threshold, then press OK
Step 3: Lower the sensitivity if needed and press OK to save your selection

2.2. If you get a notification to hold off the stacker, please turn off the machine and proceed to step 3

Step 3: Check if the clear sensor cable is connected properly to the mainboard
